Here is a collection of writing tips from our Facebook and Twitter pages.

When writing a personal statement, give details and specifics when talking about yourself to make it sound unique. Ask yourself this question-- if I take my name out and replace it with someone else’s, would it still work?

When editing a draft, read it out loud. This helps your brain hear any small wording mistakes you missed.

Consider the audience before beginning an essay. This will allow you to better understand how much information to include and what tone to use in the essay.
